As our Corbett Volleyball teams take the court this season, it is our desire as a program to take consistent action toward the fulfillment of our goals and dreams. Each player is trained to expect that not every play will be perfect nor will every action produce the desired effect. Making mistakes, getting it almost right and risking both in confidence and aggressiveness will produce the competitive volleyball that we hope to display every time we take the court this season.
This talented group of girls is not about their past success or even their current level of excellence on the court and in the classroom; rather they are defined by their possibilities. Each player has committed themselves to a series of expectations entitled “Respect the Process” a guideline for nurturing the character qualities necessary when going from an individual focus to a team first mentality.
Winston Churchill said, “It is a mistake to look too far ahead. Only one link in the chain of destiny can be handled at a time.” Each time we take the court this season, we hope to play with direction and purpose as if each day of our
2011 season is a link on a chain that leads us to our ultimate possibilities. In our gym will hang a paper chain as a reminder of each day’s significance, and with every added link we will create our connection to our possibilities.
On behalf of the coaches and players, I would like to thank the Corbett Booster Club, our great group of volleyball parents, & all you die-hard Cardinal fans, young and old, for all you do to help make Corbett Volleyball great!
Go Cards!

*I have to take the time to further acknowledge the booster club for their commitment to Corbett Athletics. Without their efforts, the integrity of our great programs would be compromised. If you love watching our Corbett athletes in action and you want to continue to see a consistent pursuit of excellence from each program, please join me in becoming a booster member and finding a way to get involved.
