Welcome Cardinal Fans, Parents, Alumni, Administration, Boosters and Visiting Teams. My name is Lance Lovitt, and I’m extremely proud of the opportunity to lead the Cardinals football program. Since moving to Corbett in the first week of August my family & I have had the opportunity to meet a number of outstanding people with deep ties to Corbett and the community. We wanted to move to a small community to raise our kids in and with a school with great academic expectations.
This will be my 16th year of coaching football and my 9th year as a head coach. I have been an assistant coach for 4 years at the high school level and 3 years as a college assistant coach. I have spent a number of those years turning programs around and re-building them to compete for a conference title as well as competing with best teams at the state levels.
Pulling from my small school experiences as a 4 sport letter athlete, I really encourage our players to play multiple sports as well as getting involved in coaching other sports. I have helped out with the wrestling programs in the past and taking the head coaching position to start up a wrestling program that had been dropped for over 18 years. I have also assisted with Track/Field helping with the sprinters, jumpers, vaulters and hurdlers.
When I’m not busy coaching high school athletes, I try to hit the golf courses with the family and coach my kids in T-Ball/Coach Pitch, camping, fishing & boating.
Family: Wife, Wendy (married 18 yrs), Kids, Lincoln 7 yrs, Amber 6 yrs, Callie 3 yrs, and Teah 4 months.
