Welcome to another exciting season of high school soccer. The Boys Varsity team is returning nine starters playing in their final season as seniors for Corbett. We are looking forward once again to making our run for a state playoff spot.
My name is Craig Payton, and this is my first year as the Head Varsity Coach, having spent the previous 3 years as JV coach and, before that, 3 years at the middle school level. In all I have spent the best part of 16 years coaching any sports my boys have played–from football to baseball, and of course, soccer. Coaching alongside me is Doug
Perkins, returning for his 4th year as Assistant Coach. He also coached the middle school level and the JV team.
Coaching for me is about teamwork and sportsmanship. It is about bringing out the best that each player has to offer and developing that skill in each individual.
I would like to take this time to thank the Corbett school district, the parents, and the players for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their high school experience.
