6th Annual Red & Black Auction & Dinner

Dear Booster Members, Sponsors and Corbett District & Charter Parents -
As the Red & Black Auction approaches we invite all of you to get involved and help make the evening a success. Volunteers are needed in the following areas. Thanks for your commitment to our athletes and to this great event.
We need your help on the following Auction Committees:
PROCUREMENT: This team is responsible for soliciting and securing auction items for both the live and silent auctions. (**there is a one hour Procurement meeting at 6:30pm, Wed. January 18th in the Card Rock Cafe – in the HS Gym.)
CATERING: Can you help with prep work prior to the event and/or on the day of the event preparing and plating food?
DECORATING: If you have a knack for creativity, we need you! Your help is needed wrapping baskets, assembling centerpieces on set-up day and creating a showcase of our all-league and all state athletes – these are just a few of the many areas you can help.
SET-UP/TEAR-DOWN/MISC: All day on March 9th for set up and All day on March 11th for tear-down.
Your willingness to help with this event is so very appreciated. Please contact me and let me know how you can help and I’ll put you in touch with the committee chair or just sign you up.

A Benefit for All Our Sports Programs
The Corbett Boosters’ 6th Annual Red & Black auction and dinner is slated for Saturday, March 10, 2012. If you’ve attended Corbett’s premiere sports’ fundraiser in the past, you’ve seen how the event has grown. If this will be your first year attending, we hope you enjoy the excitement of the evening and the incredible sense of pride we have in our athletes and athletic programs.
The high school gym will be transformed into different wonders of Oregon and keeping with tradition, our own Corbett wonders, our athletes will serve the guests a delicious meal highlighting tastes of Oregon. (Menu will be below when finalized) Excitement and anticipation will build from the moment you walk in with 3 silent auction closings and our ever-energetic auctioneer, Brad Caldwell, returning for his fifth Red & Black auction. The Wine Toss (a crowd pleaser) and the Golden Ticket are two auction events you won’t want to miss.

The donation list grows daily. Golf packages, weekend getaways, restaurant gift certificates, and once in a lifetime items will be some of the donations you will find on the auction website. Click the logo below to preview those items that will be available at the silent auction.
Ticket Information:
Early Bird tickets are $40.00 each. Reserve a table for you and seven (7) of your closest friends to enjoy the evening for $350.00 on or before Wednesday, February 29th. After February 29th, tickets are $50.00 each and a reserved table is $450.00. Tickets can be purchased at all home high school Varsity games, the grade school office, the middle/high school office, by calling Rochelle at 503-667-6507 or 503-329-8868.

Why we do it:
The Red & Black Auction and Benefit Dinner is the single largest fundraiser for Corbett athletics. Approximately 500 athletes from Kindergartners through Seniors will participate in sports completely funded through the Corbett Boosters and Corbett Youth Sports this school year. Since the school district cut all funds for athletics, the Boosters/CYS have stepped up to provide the finances needed to maintain the storied sports’ traditions of our fine community. An average of $170,000 is needed annually for athletics to continue. An Evening with Red & Black is your opportunity to help ensure the future of Corbett’s sports programs is strong and financially sound. We look forward to seeing you at this wonderful evening!
