Spring sports are here, and home games are on the immediate horizon!  The Booster Club is looking for volunteers to man the outdoor concession stand during high school home baseball & softball games that are held on the varsity fields.  The dates and times are now available on the volunteer calendar.

The Booster Club helps fund Corbett sports from kindergarten through high school, whether they are run by the Booster Club or Corbett Youth Sports.  Revenue from the concession stands is a one of our resources for funding.  Whether you have a child in high school sports or not, your participation as a concessions volunteer for the Boosters helps ALL kids in Corbett sports.

Parents with kids playing softball & baseball will be watching their kids play.  (Most softball & baseball games are played at the same time.)  It would be ideal for parents of fall or winter sport athletes to help us out this spring.  Please go to http://corbettboosters.com/events to sign up now and do your part to help support Corbett sports programs by donating your time!

Corbett’s 7th Annual Red&Black Auction and Dinner is just around the corner ~ Saturday, March 9th.

This year’s theme centers around the Vegas “rat pack” era..  You’ll have a great time ‘rolling’ for bottles of wine at the “Lucky 7 Wine Roll”  .. and you’ll not want to miss buying your Golden Ticket ($50) and the chance to win ‘any item’ in the LIVE auction, before the event starts.

We’ve got some great donations coming in.. including, (2) different trips to Las Vegas, golfing.. and custom made items like a log ‘wet bar’…there’s also been rumor of a week’s stay in Cancun!

Early-bird tickets are $40/per person or reserved table for 8 just $350  (now through Feb 29th) after that tickets are $50/per person and $450/table for 8 (thru Mar 9th)

You can buy your tickets in the offices at the High School, Grade School and at Springdale or easily ‘online’ or at any High School Varsity basketball home game.

The Corbett Boosters’ 7th Annual Red & Black Auction and Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013. If you’ve attended Corbett’s premiere sports fundraiser in the past, you’ve seen how the event has grown. If this will be your first year attending, we hope you enjoy the excitement of the evening and the incredible sense of pride we have in our athletes and athletic programs. This year, our gym will send you back to ‘The Rat Pack’ of Old Las Vegas as our theme, and keeping with tradition, our high school athletes will serve the guests a delicious meal especially selected and prepared for you by one of Bugatti Restaurants’ Corporate chefs.

We hope you’re feeling ‘lucky’ from the moment you walk in with 3 silent auction closings and the excitement and exhilaration that our auctioneer Brad Caldwell (returning for his 6th Red & Black Auction) brings to the event. Don’t lose the ‘chance’ to play our ever popular Wine Toss with a new ‘spin’ this year and be sure and try to win the ‘lucky’ Golden Ticket. Two auction events you won’t want to miss!

Early Bird tickets are $40.00 each. Reserve a table for you and seven (7) of your closest friends to enjoy the evening for $350.00 on or before Thurs. February 28th. After February 28th, tickets are $50.00 each and a reserved table is $450.00. Why we do it:

The Red & Black Auction and Benefit Dinner is the single largest fundraiser for Corbett athletics. Approximately 500 athletes from Kindergartners through Seniors will participate in sports completely funded through the Corbett Boosters and Corbett Youth Sports this school year. Since the school district cut all funds for athletics, the Boosters/CYS have stepped up to provide the finances needed to maintain the storied sports’ traditions of our fine community. An average of $210,000 is needed annually for athletics to continue. An Evening with Red & Black is your opportunity to help ensure the future of Corbett’s sports programs is strong and financially sound. We look forward to seeing you at this wonderful evening!
